In maths we have been learning about 1/2 and 1/4. As part of our measuring we looked at the dvd of Alice in Wonderland and had to work out how big Alice became after drinking the potion. We drew pictures of her compared to the things around her (the mushrooms, birds, animals etc). Then we had to make boxes of food for her to eat. We did this by getting a cereal box and then making it half it's original size. We measured each side, halved the measurement, drew the new pieces, coloured them accurately, and then assembled them into a new box. It was tricky, especially when the first length was an odd numbered measurement ....... we had to learn how to do this. Our new boxes looked great!
