Scarf Making

In art this term we have been weaving scarves.
First we had to make the loom.  We used ice
cream container lids.  After drawing a grid we
cut notches in sides for threading up our warp
and weft threads.

Then we tied each intersection and cut off the
ends.  We joined four lids together, put on
tassels and tied decorative pieces on each
weft thread.

Then we wove chiffon the length of the scarf
and tied the ends.

Our scarves look fabulous - lots of bright
colours, and very trendy.  We are wearing
them with pride!!
