Today we were entertained by the Howick College Jazz Band and their String Chamber Orchestra. Our students were enthralled by the instruments as well as the different music styles - jazz, swing, opera and a bit of Lady Gaga. We learned about the families of instruments - alto, tenor and bass saxophones, violins, violas, cellos and double bass, and the others: flute, drums, keyboards, bass, acoustic and rhythm guitars, trombones and trumpets. It was superb to listen to live music. and gather autographs!
