A story about winning a train trip

Once upon a time in a little town in NZ, 25 children and their teacher thought they would learn how to be safe around trains.  The holidays were coming and they didn’t want anyone getting squashed like a pancake (with red syrup) or killed.  The big freight trains, that went through the middle of town, grumbled and groaned, and shook the ground like a giant earthquake.  Getting too close to them would be a bit scary.

Mrs J (the teacher), who had a kind heart, did some research and found that there was a competition for school children to produce a Youtube clip showing how to be safe around trains.  Mrs J had been to a special learning place where they had checked her heart and given her eyes in the back of her head so she could help children learn important things like this.

The children were all very smart.  They were good at engaging their brain.  So they thought of lots of words that rhymed and put them together with some ‘choo choo’ music to make a rail safety song to share with their school.  They wanted other children to stay safe, and know what to do as well.

Being creative, they made their own train sounds using wood blocks, and built their own train ready for the item.  The scientists in the class put together a circuit for the flashing lights and a fulcrum for the barrier.  The builders constructed the station and the entertainers put together some actions.

The stage was set.  The audience arrived, and the item was performed while the ipad recorded…….

Moral of the story:  If you don’t have dreams, they can’t come true.
