Today we made our hamupaka's with Whaea Louise. We have been learning the names of the ingredients we would need in te reo - and today was the day we tested ourselves by asking for things with the correct names. The miti (meat) was perfectly cooked by Nikora and Mark, while Katherine and Jade passed out the koroti (carrot), retihi (lettuce - from the enviro garden), tomato and tihi (cheese). After we had eaten our burgers we had our school milk - an early lunch snack - yum!
