Max at the rugby

Pango's Place
Rugby Road
Christchurch

Dear Room 4

I have not written to you for a long time.  I hope you have not forgotten me!

I have been busy watching the All Blacks win the World Cup.  It was great fun going to the rugby games.  Did you watch the All Blacks on the TV?  Who is your favourite player?  I clapped and cheered until I nearly lost my voice.  I watched with my friends in the Bear Blacks.  They are very good at kicking and running with the ball too.  Here is a photo of me with my best friend Pango (This is the Maori word for Black).  He has just been playing a big game, so he is a little tired.  Do you play rugby with your friends at school or at home?

In the weekend I went to see Mrs J at the marching competitions.  She tells me that you are all good at marching when you do your exercises each day.  Do you practice keeping your arms straight and lifting your knees as you march.  Maybe you will join a marching tam when you get older.  Keep practicing, won't you.

It is time for me to do my homework now.  I like doing my reading and spelling every night. I am striving for accuracy so that I can be the be I can be.

Love from Max
