Safe Traveling
Constable Reade talked to us today about being safe when we are in the car. It is important that we sit on the seat with our seat belts on. If they are touching our neck we need to move to the centre of the car a little so that the belt then goes across our chest. We put our back against the back of the seat and sit quietly so that we do not distract the driver. Always stay in the car until the motor is turned off or our driver tells us we can get out. We get out on the footpath side of the car. We never put our arms or head out the window as another car might come too close and hurt us.
