Grandparents Day

On the last day of Term 1 we had Grandparents Day at school.  We had all written letters to invite them to come and share some time with us.  By 10am they were in class and we introduced ourselves (and them) in Maori before they looked at our work.  We had lots to share - our books and the things around the room.  After morning tea we went to the assembly hall and entertained them with singing.  The Kapa Haka Group and the Choir sang, we sang some school songs, and then the Grandparents had to sing to us.  For lunch we had a picnic with them, and then it was time to go home for the holidays.  We had a great day together.
