Mary and Her Lamb

Mary and Her Lamb

Mary had a little lamb.  One day it followed her to school.  This was not a good idea!!

Firstly, the lamb might pee or poo on the concrete or the grass.  Then the children might step in it.  They would have dirty, smelly feet, covered in germs.

The lamb might be covered in fleas.  These might jump onto the children.  The children would have itchy bites.

The lamb might also run onto the road and get run over.  Mary would be very upset.

The lamb is sure to make a lot of noise and then the children would not be able to concentrate.

If the lamb got scared, it might run everywhere, knock people over, and scare the little children.

The children might also get tripped over by the lamb and get hurt.

The lamb might eat the children’s lunch and they would be hungry.  It might also drink their drink, especially if it was in a bottle.  Lambs like to drink from a bottle.

The lamb may get paint or dirt on its fleece, and then Mary would not be very happy.

When the children are working in the their books, the lamb might knock the books over.  This would make the work messy, especially if it put its dirty hooves on the work.

If the lamb was hungry it may chew on the shoes or bags.  Just think how angry the mothers would be.

Look at all the reasons why we should not bring a lamb to school.  Mary needs to take notice of these.

Mary and Her Lamb

Mary had a little lamb.  One day it followed her to school.  How fantastic!!

What an opportunity!  If someone had no friends they would be able to play with the lamb.

The children could learn all about the life cycle of the lamb and how it changes into a sheep, and what it needs to survive.

They could use the lamb as a model to learn how to draw a sheep.

The lamb would get lots of exercise from running around.  It would be fit and it would be lean meat.

Stories would be long and full of interesting language.  The teachers would be so pleased.  There might be reports and recounts about the lamb, using lots of adjectives.

There would be lots of opportunities to take photos and learn how to put them on the computer.  The children could make a slide show or put them on the blog.

The children would be excited and have a fun day.  School would be so interesting and the kids would want to come back the next day.

So you can see that Mary bringing her lamb to school was a good idea.
