Repeating Patterns

Today we made SNAKES!!  Using 3 different colours we made the bodies with a repeating pattern - joined together with string - then put on our eyes and a long tongue.  We looked at pictures of other animals in nature who have repeating patterns on their bodies - zebras, fish, caterpillars.......  Then we talked about different 's' words that describe snakes.  Everyone found a different word to use in their story, and drew pictures of their snakes.  Now we have a book to read whenever we want to.

My snake can slither.  My snake can slide.  My snake can sit.  My snake can spit.  My snake can slurp.  My snake can sneak.  My snake can squirm.
