Hangi

We were very excited to watch the hang being put down.  The fire was very hot.  Then the hot stones were put in and the baskets of food were covered with wet sacks and dirt.  We watched the fried bread being made.  Once it was all cooked the food was uncovered.  Then the families were able to take it home for their dinner.
