Keep pets inside
Always let an adult light them
Keep unused fireworks well away from the ones being let off
Let them off in a clear space away from houses and trees
Have a bucket of water and hose handy
Don't relight duds
Stay back 15 metres
Don't hold them in your hand - follow the directions
