Poetry Competition

This week we have concluded our Poetry Unit by holding our annual Poetry Reading Competition.  In class all the children were expected to choose a poem and rehearse presenting it.  They then did this with marking done to a precise schedule including voice,  gesture, audibility, poem difficulty, and ability to recite it by memory.  Three finalists were selected from each class (what a difficult decision!!) who then went to the finals.  Well done to Ashley, Lynea and Thimera who represented our class well. Although they did not get placed in the top 6, they presented exceptionally and we feel proud of them.
