On Friday we were very lucky to be able to participate in a fabulous afternoon of "Olympic Tabloid Sports". Co-ordinated by Sport Waikato and held at Pohlen Park, we were put into teams which rotated around different activities, including being able to check out the Samsung Olympic Bus. We were able to access video clips of our Olympic heros, view gold medals won by Valerie Adams and Sir Peter Snell. We saw the winning shot put, and Sir Peter's running shoes. We sent messages on line to this years Olympic team. Outside our sports were gymnastics, badminton, weight lifting, archery, pentathlon, basketball, para-olympic ball games, hockey and canoeing. We all had a great time.
